Today we picked up Cousin T at a midway point between Canadialand and The Land of Cleves. Cousin T's whole family came, as did Grandma K. and Poppa K., to have a mini-birthday party for V. We met at a McDonald's with a large play area, surrounded by kiddie-sized tables. Instant Family does not frequent McD's and Mommy and Daddy were rather impressed by the set up.
V had a chance to open some presents and she even got to eat a few (contraband, non-McD's authorized) cupcakes.
The princess blocks that V received were a big hit with all three girls. W and R developed an elaborate storyline involving a princess, a witch and an alligator. Daddy was exhausted after a week of travelling to work and then the one day haul back/forth to the U.S. today.
Check back tomorrow to see how we celebrate V's actual birthday and Father's Day by heading out to an old quarry that is now a swimming area.
