Now: Mulch Ado About Nothing

Today, Instant Family introduced the Triumphant Trio to mulch. Due to living in the Deluxe Apartment in the Sky, they have not yet been privy to our family's annual springtime ritual of spreading a giant pile of mulch on our landscaping beds.*

R tends to be a little bit compulsive of a perfectionist. This personality trait came in handy today, as she painstakingly filled a little plastic bucket with mulch and then dumped it out on any small gaps in the beds . . . over and over and over again. We were so proud of how hard she worked. W acted as a cheerleader and backup singer/dancer. V mostly thwarted our efforts to do anything productive by locking gates, stealing rakes and dumping as much mulch as possible on the grass.

We started the project after dinner and were able to distribute the mulch to small piles through the flowerbeds but still need to distribute and spread the mulch. There's always tomorrow!

*Actually, for Mommy and Daddy, this was a mini-sized pile of mulch. Back in the U.S., we used to do 10 cubic yards. This was only 3 1/2 cubic yards and we waaaay overordered . . .
