Now: Wacky Hair Day

Not long ago, W and R's nursery school had a "wacky hair day". The night before, we braided W's hair with lots of tiny braids to create a nice 1980s crimp in the morning. R got a head covered in twists, which would leaving her stick straight hair a curly mass in the morning.

Alas, there is no photo of the resulting Wacky Hair. When the braids and twists were removed, the twins were so overwhelmed by their transformation that tears ensued and they had a giant tantrum and refused to go to nursery school. They were eventually coaxed, bribed and threatened out the door but, photo taking was not going to happen.

But, wait, W and R go to . . . school? Yep. That's one of the changes that took place over the months of Instant Family silence. W and R attend a nursery school two mornings a week, within walking distance of our home. While initially reluctant, they have both grown comfortable with the school and really enjoy their time there.
