Apparently, the concept of perforation has not yet been widely accepted here in Canadialand.

Many food items come in resealable bags - tortillas, shredded cheese, frozen veggies, snacks, etc. There is a `ziplock` type seal to close up the bag. But there is no perforated strip to tear off to open the package. Instead, you have to "Cut Here/Couper Ici" use a pair of scissors to cut the package open.
