Mommy Relcuk and Daddy Relcuk don't get a lot of alone time. Well, "alone together" at least. On weekends, we do trade off watching the twins so that one or the other can run errands or read a book or just rest. But we rarely get to hang out with just each other. When grandparents visited with us earlier this year, both sets offered to watch the twins while we went out for an evening. The twins were having a hard time going to sleep and, even worse, staying asleep. So, we were hesitant to change the bedtime routine for even a single night until the girls were more settled and secure.
Tonight, Nanny came back at 6 o'clock and watched the twins while we went out to a movie. Not only are W and R's sleeping habits better, but Nanny puts them down for a nap during the day. So we knew that this wasn't too much of a change to the routine. It is a good starting point for the fact that grandparents or Nanny might be putting them to bed when Number Three arrives on the scene.
Everything went well and we were able to enjoy 4 hours of respite from Twinny Goodness. We used our time to escape back in time to our childhood and watch Indy fight the bad guys.

Mommy Relcuk dug the movie; I was luke warm on it.
1. Indy is now 157 years old but can still knock out any man on the planet with a single punch.
2. In the post-WWII world, Indy fights Russians now. I like this. He is also an ex-spook. I do NOT like this.
3. George Lucas finally found a way to turn Indiana Jones into Star Wars. Think I'm lying? Go see the movie.
