Potty Time

Both W and R say "poop" (poo-pah) and R says "pee". They definately know what these words mean. Since neither of them actually says many words, we thought it was significant that they had learned these two words and showed an interest in toilet habits.
I can ask W "Did you poop?" and nine out of 10 times she answers correctly. Today she was a little blocked up and kept trying to "go" -- she would tell us "poo-pah" and then try to do her business. R usually says poop right after she has done the deed.

So, today, we bought simple little potty chairs. The twins are only 15 months old so, our goal right now is to simply socialize them to what the potty is and associate the "poop" and "pee" words with the potty. They frequently come to the washroom with Mommy Relcuk or Nanny so they understand the general concept -- for example, they immediately knew to sit on the chairs.

They were quite delighted with their chairs and Robin said "pee" as soon as she sat down. Nothing was actually deposited in the potty chairs but, like I said, we're starting out slow. We'll keep everyone updated as to their progress.

I never knew how much we would be discussing bowel movements. It's really unbelievable.
We seriously talk about it all the time.
