Bamboo Bunch

We went to a summer picnic with the "Bamboo Bunch" a local group that connects families who have adopted from China, Korea, Vietnam and other Asian countries. There is a large FCC "Families with Children from China" group based out of Toronto but that is a little far for us to manage driving at this point. We really loved our FCC Waiting Families group in Pittsburgh and were excited to once again make friends with other adoptive families.

The picnic was fun - there were bubbles, hayrides, games, a playground and FOOD! The twins ate so much food it was slightly embarrasing. It was potluck and I am pretty sure that we ate more than we brought.

We also met another set of twins adopted from China! They are about 6 months older than W and R. It was mainly exciting for Mommy Relcuk to talk to the other twin mommy about some of the challenges of parenting twins, particularly adopted twins. We hope to meet up with them soon for a play date.
