Daddy was surprised by the size of his meal.
We've also been able to enjoy the nice weather. It has been "cold" here, with a day where the highs were only in the mid-50s. Even on those days, it seems really nice to us!
This was a fun little bouncy thingy.

We attended a party in honor of the Great-Grandparent's 65th wedding anniversary, which is coming up in January. It was held in the social room at the retirement community where they live and many of their friends attended. We weren't sure how the the twins would handle the crowd of strangers -- over Thanksgiving they were at times nervous around new people. In this case, they took it as an opportunity to perform for the group.

W and R have been great on the trip. They has hardly been any "Not Nice" behavior. Diva Miss W had not a single tantrum in the last three days, which may be a new all time record for her. Their speech has really improved in the last week or so and they are saying their words much more succinctly and have added many new words.
W and R's table manners have been impeccable, as if we sent them to a Toddler Finishing School.

Cousin P and his wife Cousin Y have really been great at entertaining the twins and holding Baby V. They do, however, seem to have some different rules than Mommy and Daddy . . .

It was a very nice party, with great food and a display of photos of Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa and the family through the years. Cousin P and Grandpa K. both stood up to say a few words that brought tears to everyone's eyes.

While we don't want to downplay the importance of of celebrating 65 years of marital bliss, but we can't hold back from going for the cheap laughs by sharing this before/after shot of the chocolate fountain, which took on a life of its own mid-way through the festivities.

After the party, we took some group photos of the extended family. Many thanks to Aunt A for making such a nice party for everyone.
After the photo session, we went to dinner and then stopped by the Christmas light display presented at a local church. We were exhausted but it was really beautiful.

We'll let you know any other highlights from our travels and how the trip home goes once we're back and rested! Just like home, a lot of our time out west has been spent eating and planning eating and cleaning up from eating. It is not an easy thing to move four adults and three kids from Point A to Point B and at the same accommodate the kids' required schedule of napping/snacking/diaper changes. We're pretty tired and will need a vacation from our vacation.
