Ribfest and Craft Beer

Today was the last day in town for Grandma G. and Grandpa G. We braved the heat and headed out to the annual Ribfest and Craft Beer Show in nearby Victoria Park. There were many types of ribs and beer to sample.

W and R might be from China, but it seems they are southern girls at heart or, erm, in their bellies. They loved the roasted yams, pulled pork, corn on the cob and, of course, ribs.

Grandpa G. found a love of his own: Stone Hammer Pale Ale. He was so taken with this local microbrew that the guys running the booth quickly realized the boon of future sales headed their way. So, they provided him with a huge special glass for his samples from their brewery to solidify his brand loyalty.

This was their first experience with ballons and they really enjoyed playing with them!
W liked the orange snow cone. R found it too cold and wouldn't eat it.

Aren't the porta-potties lovely!
We had a coveted seat in the shade so we weren't complaining about the scenery!
