Milk Happens.

Baby V had her first bottle today.

Mommy Relcuk had planned to start a bottle tomorrow. According to the baby books, the breastfeeding books and our friends who recently had babies, starting a bottle is an important moment that requires forethought and planning. If done incorrectly, a baby may reject the bottle. Or a baby may love the bottle so much that she will not return to her mommy for future feedings. We knew all of this and had read the books/heard the advice and made a plan for how and when the first bottle would be introduced to Baby V.

So much for the plan. This evening, in the midst of a twinny tantrum, Mommy Relcuk remembered that the milk for Baby V was in the fridge and, of course, Daddy Relcuk is an expert bottle maker/feeder/washer. So, like a lot of things in the Relcuk household, the "introduction of bottle" just sort of fell into place, with little pomp or planning. Fortunately, Grandma G. was handy with the camera and took a few pics to memorialize the moment.

Baby V loved the bottle. She also still loves her Mommy and ate well with her several times later in the evening.
