Ohiopyle

On the way home from our Jellystone camping experience, Instant Family made a brief stop in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania. We did a little hiking along the Youghiogheny River and dipped our toes in the falls.

The twins were hesitant to hike, as they often are in woodsy areas. They don't mind hiking on open trails but lots of tree cover seems to make them anxious. R had one of those days -- which are becoming more and more common -- where she insisted that she wanted to wear a dress and look pretty. She spent a lot of time worrying about getting dirty and stepping on bugs.

R being force-marched through the treacherous forest.

Once we got W and R away from the treeline and out to the river, they really enjoyed the view and the cool water.

Grandma G. brought the twins up close to the falls
and let them cool off in the water.
