Daddy Relcuk here. . .
Mommy and Daddy Relcuk play absolutely no organized sports. Now we are not lazy people. In fact, in the years BC, we spent most of our time geocaching with Doggie H (or whatever -- I forget how we refer to the dog) and hiking ridculously long distances. We just don't meet up with the Underhills and play tennis or squash or that type of thing.
Last fall, Mommy Relcuk informed me that it was my responsibility to teach whatever organized sports I felt were required of the twins to be good Canadio-American kids (recall that Mommy Relcuk grew up overseas and played cricket and other useless stuff like that). We tried several different avenues:

Last fall, Mommy Relcuk informed me that it was my responsibility to teach whatever organized sports I felt were required of the twins to be good Canadio-American kids (recall that Mommy Relcuk grew up overseas and played cricket and other useless stuff like that). We tried several different avenues:
- Daddy's favorite -- baseball -- was quickly nixed when the twins attacked each other with the Wiffle Ball bats. They didn't care about running the bases, and I hadn't even gotten to the Infield Fly Rule. Just terrible.
- Football never got further than the snap. It is pretty funny -- if you say "hike" the twins run over to their toy box, take out a little Nerf football and throw it through their legs. Truly hilarious, but not much of a sport (and Mommy does not consider long-snapping a worthwhile life skill anyway. . .)
- Basketball worked out fairly well. They can and do dunk on a little basketball hoop we gave them. That is, they DID do that until Robin decided to repeatedly knock the hoop to the floor and sit on it. She's our own little Darryl Dawkins.
- Golf? No way. More sticks. And these are metal.
So, Daddy Relcuk went with soccer -- or as we like to say "simpleton football." Here are two short videos of the girl's first soccer match last fall. These were shot on the new BlackBerry Bold handset -- go out and buy one today!
Of course, this being Canadialand, we were quickly encouragesd to move on to hockey. People at our Saturday gym session were appalled that the twins are almost two and neither skate or play hockey. So we rectified the situation. Sorry for the terrible quality; I was running around too.
Hey, what gives? How am I supposed to hit my sister with tape on the end of this thing?
Oh, Neat. So this is a hockey stick. . .
. . . and with it I can WAIL on everyone and everything!!!
