Not long ago, we went to an outdoor showcase of "Mighty Machines". There is a program on the children's TV network here in Canadialand that educates kids about different types of trucks and work equipment, such as cranes, backhoes, fire trucks and garbage trucks. The demos included included tow truck contests, a tanker truck pull over and firemen races.
This showcase was a little beyond W's and R's level -- kids could actually climb inside the trucks or operate the levels. Even so, they enjoyed being outside and seeing all the activity. It was not beyond the level of Daddy Relcuk, who very much liked seeing all the equipment. As for Baby V, she once again came through for our family with her remarkable talents of sleeping and eating.
Here's a photo of the twins celebrating the family heritage by posing with the concrete mixer. (Great-Grandpa K ran a concrete business for many years.)
