Labour Day Weekend

We celebrated the Labour Day holiday (a.k.a. Labor Day) with Uncle D, Aunt J and Cousins T and R. We appreciate that they bravely left the borders of the U.S.A. to enter the unknown wilds of Canadialand just to visit with us.

The weather was nice, if a little hot, so we spent a lot of time outside. We played at a nearby park with wading pool and splash pad, which is perfect for the twins who do not yet know how to swim. The "splash pad" concept is very popular here in Canadialand, with at least 5 within a 15 minute drive of our house. Perhaps they are so prevalent because they are easier to maintain than an actual pool and the swimming season is quite short.

Weeeee! That is what the twins say on the swings.

We also had the pleasure of a visit from our friends, the Chipper Family, who were in the area visiting their cousin. The mega-deck of the Deluxe Apartment in the Sky was actually a little crowded!

All in all, a very nice weekend.
